General Description

Ove Arup & Partners was established in 1946 in United Kingdom to provide a completely independent professional consulting engineering service. Since that time the firm has grown into an international group of multi-disciplinary consulting engineering practices in Europe, USA, Middle East, Asia, Australasia and Africa, with over 60 established offices in 50 countries and a total staff in excess of 5000.

The group is on the lists of approved consultants of the major aid agencies including World Bank, Asian Development Bank and United Nations and its Agencies, and has carried out projects under their auspices.

In Hong Kong, Ove Arup & Partners provides consulting engineering services in all disciplines in the fields of building, civil engineering and industrial construction. Clients include public authorities, commercial enterprises, contracting companies and international organisations. In addition to serving the needs of the domestic market the Hong Kong office is active throughout the region, including Indonesia, Japan, People¡¯s Republic of China, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Korea, Taiwan and Thailand.

Staff are professionally qualified in civil, structural, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, public health and water engineering, transportation, pollution control, environmental studies, quantity surveying, project planning and construction supervision and are supported by experienced technicians. The office also benefits from being an integral part of the international Ove Arup & Partners group in particular it enjoys a close liaison with the central technical service groups worldwide and the Central Research & Development and should the need arisers is able to call upon their resources rearrangement and assistance of specialist skills. The scope of projects undertaken is wide, ranging from the small and simple for which personal relationships are needed to ensure success, to the large and complex enterprise requiring comprehensive overall control and management.

ASIAN REGION
