General Description


Benaim was formed in 1980 as a specialist structural and project management consultant, operating primarily in the design and construct and value engineering markets. Since then we have established a unique reputation within the engineering industry for the economic and elegant design of complex structures. We have developed several innovative forms of construction and many of our projects have won awards for their excellence. We focus principally on alternative designs, value engineering commissions, design and construct commissions, public/private sector client engineering, construction engineering services, project management, expert witness and client independent engineer/due diligence services.  We pride ourselves on an uncompromising commitment to the quality of our engineering and to the personal and responsive service our clients have come to expect of Benaim.

 

Our staff work from offices in the United Kingdom and Hong Kong on a wide range of complex building and transport infrastructure projects located in Europe, the Middle East and the Asia Pacific region. Several of our recent key projects include specialist inputs to Dubai Metro, Sydney Metro, MTR South Island Line, MTR West Island Line, Shenzhen Western Corridor, Macau City of Dreams, Wynn Resort Macau, Venetian Macau, Lai Chi Kok Viaducts, Ocean Park Redevelopment, Brisbane Airport Link and Stonecutters Bridge in Hong Kong.  

 

In 2008, Benaim became part of the global Scott Wilson Group, a global UK-based integrated design and engineering consultancy offering Strategic Consultancy and multi-disciplinary professional services in the Transportation, Buildings & Infrastructure and Environment & Natural Resources sectors.

As part of URS, we now offer an expanded portfolio of professional services and access to increased professional and technical resources including 800 railway professionals in North America, UK and Australia.

 

The acquisitions have generated a natural synergy between URS/Scott Wilson and its full-service capability, and Benaim with its expertise in civil / structures, design and construct and value engineering. The combined resource has brought direct benefits to long-standing and new clients in the private and public sectors.

 

Benaim fully embraces quality assurance and has been ISO accredited in Hong Kong since 1994 with the HKQAA in civil, structural, geotechnical and site supervision services.
