Typical Projects

  • MTR Kwun Tong Line C1002, Whampoa station and overrun tunnel: The station design will adopt a single platform layout served by two independent concourse areas to service peak train operations every four minutes.  Works also include the demolition and re-provision of existing footbridge across Hung Hom Road and modification of existing footbridge at Tak Ting Street.
  • Kai Tak development trunk road T2 & infrastructure south apron: Detailed design and supervision of Trunk Road T2 which forms the central connection for the strategic highway network Route 6, connecting Central Kowloon Route in the west and Tseung Kwan O-Lam Tin Tunnel in the east.  The Trunk Road itself is 3.6 km long, 2.6 km of which is a tunnel including Immersed Tube Tunnel and cut-and-cover sections.
  • 55 Conduit Road - Site Formation & Foundation: Detailed design and supervision for foundation design for residential development
  • DC/2007/23 & 24 Harbour Area Treatment Scheme Stage 2A sewage conveyance system: Detailed design of shaft and tunnel linings and temporary support for a 12km long sewage conveyance system and the associated ground movement assessment and temporary traffic management
  • MTR trackside auxiliaries consultancy C821 for the Express Rail Link: The XRL consists of an underground terminus in West Kowloon, approximately 26 km of tunnel from the terminus to the boundary at Huanggang.  After crossing the boundary, the mainland section of the high-speed railway line runs north for a further 116 km to Guangzhou, with new stations at Futian, Longhua (Shenzhen Bei Station), Gongming, Dongyong, Humen and Shibi (New Guangzhou Station).  Trains on the Hong Kong section are intended to operate at a high speed of up to 200-300 kph. The 26 km dual track tunnels feature an emergency rescue station, at-grade stabling sidings in Shek Kong with approach tunnels, associated tunnel ventilation shafts/adits and buildings, railway tracks, and access roads for the buildings.
  • Investigation study of air purification system for Central Kowloon Route: Central Kowloon Route (CKR) consists of a dual 3-lane east-west trunk road tunnel of about 4.7km connecting West Kowloon via strategic highway network Route 6. Investigation study on air purification systems for application on CKR. This technology and its application in road tunnel are new and cutting edge. Should this be proven to be useful, the application could be considered for future tunnel projects and the associated enhanced scheme for the existing tunnels in Hong Kong.
  • Route 9 between Cheung Sha Wan and Shatin: Involves detailed design and construction supervision of 1.2 km of 3-lane twin-tube tunnel and 2.2km of precast segmental viaducts.
  • Widening of Tolo/Fanling Highway between Island House I/C and Fanling Design and Construction Assignment.  The Project includes 13 significant vehicular bridges/viaducts and 6 footbridges with lifts/ramp and staircases.
  • Design and Construction of Remaining Engineering Infrastructure Works for Pak Shek Kok Development: Provides the Infrastructure and services for the development, with a vehicular access over Tolo Highway and KCR tracks to link up the eastern and western development sites.
  • Journey Time Indication System (JTIS) for Cross-Harbour Tunnels Civil and E&M Designs.  The JTIS aims to convey to motorists real time traffic conditions for the three different cross-harbour routes from Hong Kong Island to Kowloon so that they can make more informed choice of routeing well ahead of critical diversion points.
  • Common Utility Enclosure (CUE) in Hong Kong – Feasibility Study Examine the feasibility of the implementation of CUE in new major urban development and built-up areas in Hong Kong.
  • Noise Enclosures and Barriers on Fanling Highway: Involves detailed design and construction supervision of two separate 460m long noise reduction semi-enclosures over both eastbound and westbound carriageways of a Fanling Highway.
